Individuals can come along to rent a bike at any time of year (no booking required), we keep plenty of bikes ready to go. Within a few minutes you’ll have a bike to use. In the summer season (July/August) we suggest letting us know that you’re coming to visit us if you are a group of 6 or more people. Family’s with children under 12 years old are advised to contact us beforehand to check availability of smaller models, kids bikes and child seats and trailers.
Group hires / Bike events
As specialists in bike rentals we cater for groups of any size for any period from a half day city tour, corporate and conference bike events or extended educational study groups of a few weeks. Whether you are organizing a fun day, conference or traveling with a class of students we have many years experience in tailoring bookings for your needs . If your group is more than 30 people then you may qualify for a discounted rate on longer hires. Contact us with details and we will reply to discuss the the options and arrange a simple collection process.
B2B bike Leasing
Over the years we’ve been approached by a number of local companies to offer bikes fleets for employees and visitor to be able to access cycling for the workplace. This is a tailored service, so through understanding the clients requirements and agreed specification we provide fully equipped bikes along with a scheduled servicing and repair plan within an contract for bikes, accessories and maintenance. Contracts can be renewed upon completion and clients will receive all new equipment. Please contact us if your company is considering such an idea to as we will be happy to discuss the possibilities.
Short Hires
If you are visiting Waterford for a short time, we recommend you look at our City/Trekking bikes. These bikes are versatile and good for use in the city and longer day rides out into the country. Your bike will come with lights and a lock as a standard feature.
Student Hires
If you are in Waterford to study for a longer period of time or just feel a little more adventurous take a look at our student bikes with very affordable rates that offer service and repair included in the hire cost. Your bike will come with lights and a lock as a standard feature.
We recommend that you don’t use headphones when riding a bike.
Family add-ons: Child seats and Tag-a-longs for small children,trailers
Please contact us in advance to check availability, at peak time everybody wants these add-ons. We can have this equipment ready for you if we know that you’re coming to visit us . Please be aware that we can only cater for one child per bike with the equipment available to hire.
rear fitted child seats available to parents with children aged 15 months – 40 months (3.5 years).
Tag-a-longs available to parents with children (provided they are able) aged 4.5 years – 6 years.
*Note add-ons are only available to hire with our City/Trekking bikes. If you’re child is not within the age ranges stated above we may not be able to offer you transport for them. We have to think about safety first and don’t want our customers to have a bad experience.
Optional Extras:
HELMET
Helmets are not compulsory in Ireland but we always have plenty available for your peace of mind should you want to use one. We only ask for a small fee for hires up to 6 weeks and have new helmets available to buy for longer periods.
BASKET
A basket can be fitted to any bike on request.
Damage Insurance
We offer a Damage Insurance for your peace of mind. In the event of any damage caused to your bike, such as collision, accidental or third party liabilities you won’t be charged and you will be refunded your full deposit. This does not cover lost items or bike locks and keys.
This option is only offered to you on the first day of hire and cannot be taken after that date. Please see our table of prices below.

Our shop is located at 129A Parade Quay. Across from the Waterford Plaza the start of the Waterford Greenway from the city and Baileys New Street 20 meters from Reginald Tower It’s a car free location and is great for riding around our famous Viking Trangler and the rest of Waterford City. Our bikes are ready to go and we’ll be happy to give you advice and directions to any destination.
